Maple House Cattery Terms & Conditions

Food

To ensure consistency of diet for all guests, we do ask that you provide enough cat food for the duration of the stay at point of drop off. We can provide a high quality dry food option if this does run out or food isn't provided at drop off, although please note that there is a £1 per day surcharge for this service.

Medication / Injections

We want to make all guests stay as comfortable as possible, and this sometimes requires the facilitation of prescribed medication / injections throughout their time with us. Please note, that the facilitation of this may add an additional surcharge of £1 per day during the guest's stay (Please contact us to confirm).

Vaccinations

An up-to-date vaccination card must accompany all guests, both canine, feline, and other; a copy of this card has to stay on site for the duration of your pet's stay with us. We may not be able to accept your pet if this card is not present at time of arrival. No refund will be made if this is the case. Cats require Cat flu (feline herpesvirus and feline calcivirus) and feline enteritis (feline panleukopenia virus) vaccinations.

Fleas & Worms

We take a great deal of care to ensure that our facility remains a safe haven from fleas and worms, so your animal does not contract them whilst staying with us. An effective flea management programme requires treatment by a vet-recommended formula every 4-5 weeks. If your animal is not on a regular flea treatment programme, please apply a flea treatment such as Frontline just before your pet comes to stay with us. If your animal has not been wormed within the three months prior to staying with us, please administer an appropriate worming treatment before boarding commences. If we find that an animal boarding with us has arrived with fleas and/or worms, we will administer an appropriate treatment, the cost of which will be payable on collection of your pet.

Neutering

Males over 6 months old are required to be neutered.

Emergency Veterinary Care (If required)

In the event your Cat falls ill during their stay with us and emergency care is required we would, in the first instance, make contact with your registered Vet (as per the details in your registration form) and transport him/her to the vets (in our own Vehicle). Our second priority in such a situation would be to make contact with you to advise you of your Cat’s condition and update you of the outcome of the Veterinary observation. You / your insurance would be liable for Veterinary costs incurred,
